Cisco CDR report templates
Report templates are reusable starting points for a business or operational question. In Reports → Report Catalog, choose a template, run a Quick View, or customize its dimensions, metrics, filters, and sort order in the Report Builder.
Find the right report
Use the generated report examples catalog as the exhaustive list. It starts with the questions each report answers and provides deterministic CSV, XLSX, and PDF examples so you can inspect the result before running it on your data.
Templates cover call completion, cost and billing, CUBE and SIP trunks, devices, hunt groups, organizational usage, security and compliance, and user behavior. The generated catalog stays synchronized with the backend report registry, so authored guides do not maintain a competing template count or inventory.
How templates work
| Term | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Dimensions | Fields used to group results, such as date, extension, department, or device |
| Metrics | Calculated values, such as total calls, average duration, success rate, or cost |
| Filters | Conditions that limit the result set |
| Sort order | The dimension or metric used to order results |
Quick Views answer common questions with a preconfigured query. A custom report lets you change the same building blocks and then save or schedule the result.
Dashboard compatibility
Templates marked Aggregate-backed in the report examples catalog can be used as data sources for the UC Analytics Dashboard. Detail-only templates remain available in Report Builder for investigation and export.
For interactive reputation dashboards, see Call Reputation Reports. For line-item audit exports, use the policy history report available in the generated catalog.
